IMHO The best of all Koelschs (and I’ve tried almost all of them). Rich and full taste. It looks a bit stale, but with every sip you taste that it is brewed the old-fashioned way. One of the few Koelschs that is brewed with real hops instead of extract. Above that, the Malzmuehle brewery has its own well, which is quite rare, too.

Great Kolsch ! Sweet body, light but true to style, pleasant hops and flower taste.

Very nice, clean, clear, slightly citric, and truly a well done beer. My personal impression, however, is that it is the least personal one among the top Koelsch stuff.

I thought this was the malt-y-ness klosh I had my whole day in Koln and I wanted to go back there for dinner but instead we went to Sunner. Page 327 of Michael Jackson’s Great Beer Guide and only 312 of his 500 Classic Brews to go.
