3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazy amber coloured with a small beige head. Aroma of malts, peat, light vanilla, smoke, some spices. Flavour is medium malty sweetness, more peat. Nice brew, but I get more of a "best of both worlds" experience from a good BA Imperial Stout.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled. At least aged for 1.5 year. Full 33cl sample. The aroma has caramel, peat, bit grain. Hazy, amber coloured beer with a medium, off-white/beige, lasting head. Lots of ugly particles floating around. Mostly these thinks donít really influence the taste while drinking, but canít help... It doesnít really make me wanna drink it. Anyway. The taste is a bit sweet, caramelic with peat coming up half way the sip. Going towards a boozy finish. Medium bodied. Itís an okay beer, just a little unbalanced imo, because of the booziness.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottled, BB somewhere in 2022, large sample. Clear amber color with big chunks of debris, short lasting off-white head. Quite peaty aroma, smoke, some iodine, caramel and amber malt. Itís not as intense peat as I would have expected. Malt base underneath the beer seems a bit boring. In taste itís a bit fruity, slight smoked, bit dry. High alcohols, esters and fusels come up. Like the bottle says, like a blend between whiskey and beer. Well, Iím not a whisky lover, so canít judge on the quality that much. The peat I can easily handle, I just think the beer is a bit thin and has a bit too much alcohol.

1.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
I donít remember details because it has been a while. I also assume that something could have been wrong with the bottle. I drunk it together with another person and it was bad. Tasted to me like the worst of the two worlds, not best like the slogan says. We were not able to drink the bottle. Tasted like beer mixed with smokepowder and extra alcohol.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours an orange beer with a good white head. Smells alcoholic, honey and malts. Tastes sweet and alcoholic. Clearly a whiskey taste. Average carbo, thick body and a sticky texture.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
This is a very peaty beer. It advertises itself as half whiskey and half beer and I buy that designation. Very alcoholic.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle thanks to Douberd and the European Local Swap II. Dark amber colour with a nice off-white head with small bubbles, nice lacing and good duration. Aroma is smoky, malty, caramel and peat. Flavor is strong smoky and alcoholic, caramel, notes of peat, whisky and wood. The final has a decent bitterness and alcoholic.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Yeast flakes are visible when pouring a beautiful head. Lovely. Great aroma of smoke and peat. Earthiness too in the sip. Sticky and maybe a tad too sweet, still a very nice beer.
Bottle from Van Erp Roden.

Mooie caramelkleur met weinig schuim. Zoetig heur met duidelijke peated geur van de whiskey. Zoete rokerige smaak met een achol nasmaak. Prima bier.
