Gedronken bij oirschots bierfestival, rood/bruine kleur, niet helemaal helder, ruik niet veel en smaakt zoet, beetje drop, rook, turf, alc.

Hier had ik van tevoren veel van verwacht Amber/rood helder met schuimig witte kraag Aroma: muf, moutig, rokerig, hout en turf Smaken: matig zoet,licht bitter, zeer sterk bier, sterk gemout (rookmout), sterk kruidig, stevige alcoholische smaak, whisky, maar bovenal een mega turf smaak Medium body, glad, laag co2, kruidig in de afdronk. Niet bijzonder. Het bracht niet datgeen wat ik ervan verwachte

Amber brown coloured, medium foamy head, sweet sour haai like a bit muffy synthetic, warm late bitter spicy, alcoholic(still after a few beer), a bit honey like taste but not sweet

Amber colour, some UFO stuff floating around. White head. Aroma of smoke, banana, peat, ash and malt. Smoky flavour, light sweet, ash. Quite full body, smoky finish with lingering banana.
Bit like a smoked La Trappe.

33cl, new exclusive Dutch brew Anno 2012, brewed at De Proefbrouwerij, from De Bierkoning Amsterdam, complex brew, spicy/alcoholic and slightly smoked/fruity, too heavy, not balanced, cloudy, good head, nice brew, yet expensive!

Dark amber coloured, small white head. Aroma has some smoke, turf, and wood. Bitter taste, smokey, whiskey-like strong alcoholic. Not bad but not my taste, though made fairly well.

Brown bottle, 330 ml, at home. Poured into a tulip glass. ABV 11%. Expire date is after 10 years. Red amber in colour, with lots of big pieces floating in the body. Two fingers of off-white head, with average retention. Light lacing around the glass. Aroma of wood, smoke, peat,newly bought leather and light alcohol smell for a 11% beer. All blend to give a nice appealing aroma. Quite smokey taste and again peat, malts, leather. Aftertaste very slighty bitter and spicy, with a long finish. Once again, the alcohol well hidden, traceable only by the warming feeling that it offers. Medium body and quite carbonated. Overall, an interesting beer. Nice and not too strong of a taste, I am curious to see how it will stand in a couple of years.

Bottle. Amber color. Peated malt and marmelade in the aroma. lapsang Souchong. Full bodied, alcoholic. Dried citrus and peat in the flavor. The peat is almost medecinal and persists in the aftertaste Good, but not very refined.

Bottle: Medium sized, vast and slowly settling down, creamy off white colored head on top of a light cloudy, filled with small yeast chunks, beatiful amber colored beer with a light red flow coming through. Aroma’s of peat (duh), fruit like peach and mango, hint of smoke, creamy malts and raisiny malts. Flavours of peat, malts, bitter, smoke, spicy, leather, peach, smoked grains and something light herby. Aftertaste is bitter, malty, spicy, light peat and light fruity. Low carbo, soft thicker and creamy mouthfeel, medium to full body and a oily texture. Expected it to be more peaty than it is, but it is not wrong. And all you can detect of the 11%ABV is just the spicy tone. Bit strange bitterness... Pretty good beer.
