COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Zuster Agatha is a dark beer with 10% ABV. Brewed according to the Trappist traditions and only natural ingredients. Althoug these types of beer a normally named after male chatholics the brewer still decided to name it after Sister Agatha. It’s a beer to enjoy in peace and quite. It has a complex aroma with fruit, raisins and roasted malts. It’s full and solid with a surprisingly dry finish. It invites you to take another sip. Please be careful with this high alcoholic beer as the strenght might attack you by surprise. Brewed for and with the recipe of de Muifel Brouwerij (http://www.muifelbrouwerij.nl/).

Clear dark brown beer, light reveals a dark amber hue. Yellowish head. Aroma of malts, lots of caramel, some liquorice (trekdrop), and prominent alcohol. Sweet flavour, slightly bitter, caramel, malts, slight liquorice, rather thin for a quadrupel. Nice finish, dry and bitter with some alcohol warmth. (From 30cL bottle)

2010 edition GREAT BEER, poors brown with a off-white head, head dissipates quickly. leaves a nice lacing on the glass. taste is sweet, but not overly sweet. this a nice attribute to have for a quad, since most quadrupels are lemonade-sweet. this actually is on the dry hand, which you wouldn’t expect in a quadrupel aroma is awsome, some roasting, but not too much. very complex beer. also some raisins present and a faint bit of licorice and vannilla. also a bit of fruit. Almost no alcohol tastes. body is medium, not much carbonation, although it is present. the texture is quite thick. the finish is long lasting, but a bit astringent. this beer can have some aging. Overall, a great beer, definitely get one when you have the chance.

Bottle from Bier Koning. Hazy brown beer, residual white head. Semi dry palate - a little frothy. Rich malt - a little aged tasting. Tint hint of fruit. Neutral finish. Pleasant enough.

Clear brown coloured beer with small white head and only few carbonation. A very alcoholic aroma with some hints of malts and spices. Full sparkling palat. Finish is alcoholic ending bitter dry. Too much alcohol taste and aroma for me to be good, a pitty.
