Zuster Agatha is a dark beer with 10% ABV. Brewed according to the Trappist traditions and only natural ingredients. Althoug these types of beer a normally named after male chatholics the brewer still decided to name it after Sister Agatha. Itís a beer to enjoy in peace and quite. It has a complex aroma with fruit, raisins and roasted malts. Itís full and solid with a surprisingly dry finish. It invites you to take another sip. Please be careful with this high alcoholic beer as the strenght might attack you by surprise. Brewed for and with the recipe of de Muifel Brouwerij (http://www.muifelbrouwerij.nl/).

33cl bottle, from beerhunter111, (or MrHangover), anyway, thanks! Deep mahogany color, thick off white head, came rushing out of bottle. Sweet dark fruits, brown sugar, spicy notes in aroma. Full bodied, very smooth. Nicely balanced beer, alcohol is hidden. Raisins, yeasty notes, spices, candy sugar and toffee. Long finish.

Bottle. Cola color, quite dense. Aromas....wow. First there is a very earthy sweet sensation: plums, raisins, krieken. Very gentle boozy smell follows. Taste starts very (!) boozy. Liquid hairspray. Slowly a sweet taste begins to develop, mostly chocolate with a hint of cherry. Small creamy lining. Subsequently, the boozy taste subdues and you are left with a particularly fruity Trappist style. For me, it is too boozy.

Bottle at home. Mildly gushy.Pours a dark ruby amber colour with a white head. Aroma is lightly medicinal with pepto bismol as well as some jammy red berries and caramel. Medium body, rich with sweetness and booze though, and full carbonation. Thereís some dark fruit, berries, its warm with booze, toffee.. some bitterness, but mostly sweet. Balance is fine. Good, not great.

Tasty quadrupel. Fruity, malty and a bit sweet of course. Especially the raisins are present, which is nice.
