Zuster Agatha is a dark beer with 10% ABV. Brewed according to the Trappist traditions and only natural ingredients. Althoug these types of beer a normally named after male chatholics the brewer still decided to name it after Sister Agatha. Itís a beer to enjoy in peace and quite. It has a complex aroma with fruit, raisins and roasted malts. Itís full and solid with a surprisingly dry finish. It invites you to take another sip. Please be careful with this high alcoholic beer as the strenght might attack you by surprise. Brewed for and with the recipe of de Muifel Brouwerij (http://www.muifelbrouwerij.nl/).

Pitch black transparent beer with surface carbonation and a nice thick head. Red accents int he light. Smell is yeasty breadiness with subtle coffee toffee and citric fruitiness. Full creamy sweet sour taste, with a fizzy metallic feel. Well balanced but with little taste development.

33cl Bottle from Secret Sint, cheers! Deep dark reddish brown colour, beige head. Aroma of dark fruits, brown sugar, light spicy, plums, some currants. Flavour is sweet, malty, dark fruits, brown sugar, hint of spice, more sugar, decent bitter finish with some alcohol. Medium-bodied, a little fizzy. Nice, but lacks a bit of depth to be really great.

09 bottle shared by Kermis, thanks man. Pours red brown with medium head and lacing. Notes of prune, grape juice, wet wood, oak, malt, and other darker fruits. Nice balance with a good bit of complexity. Smells a lot older than it is. Very nice brew.

2009 vintage bottle shared. Pours cloudy brown with a small tan head. With the age beer has developed towards the porty side of age, with a dank mouldy cellar aspect, overripe dark fruit and caramel. Flavour is light heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

Mooie donkere roodbruine kleur met een volle kraag. Fruitige friszoete geur. Smaakt lekker vol, rood fruit met een bittere nadronk.

Quite intense roasted malts.. was surprised to taste that in quad, but not bad. Caramel, bit yeasty, nice fruitiness, but again - less intense than I expect from quad. Sweet, bit dry. Very interesting and enjoyable brew

Pours deep copper reddish with frothy beige creamy top, light lasing. Aroma basically sweet malty-fruity-yeasty, light roast, min caramel with sensible alcohol touch. Flavor almost the same except roasted malt bitter touch, yeast profile of course in not minor partner, sweet and caramel-candy. For Quad itís light dry finish with average lasting, average intense aftertaste. Seems a bit too cognac or brandy alike. I prefer more fruity brews of this style.
