Zuster Agatha is a dark beer with 10% ABV. Brewed according to the Trappist traditions and only natural ingredients. Althoug these types of beer a normally named after male chatholics the brewer still decided to name it after Sister Agatha. It’s a beer to enjoy in peace and quite. It has a complex aroma with fruit, raisins and roasted malts. It’s full and solid with a surprisingly dry finish. It invites you to take another sip. Please be careful with this high alcoholic beer as the strenght might attack you by surprise. Brewed for and with the recipe of de Muifel Brouwerij (http://www.muifelbrouwerij.nl/).

2010 edition GREAT BEER, poors brown with a off-white head, head dissipates quickly. leaves a nice lacing on the glass. taste is sweet, but not overly sweet. this a nice attribute to have for a quad, since most quadrupels are lemonade-sweet. this actually is on the dry hand, which you wouldn’t expect in a quadrupel aroma is awsome, some roasting, but not too much. very complex beer. also some raisins present and a faint bit of licorice and vannilla. also a bit of fruit. Almost no alcohol tastes. body is medium, not much carbonation, although it is present. the texture is quite thick. the finish is long lasting, but a bit astringent. this beer can have some aging. Overall, a great beer, definitely get one when you have the chance.

Dobre tresciwe se spora bezowa i kremowa pianka. Spora i trwala jak na ten gatunek. Czarne piwo z lekkim odciemiem machoniowym. Slodkawe, cukier brazowy wyczuwalny, nieco osadu, ale niewiele. Prosta i czarna etykieta. Alkohol ukryty. Przyjemne i smaczne piwo. Sadze ze nadalo by sie idealnie do starzenia.

30 cl bottle. Appearance: dark brown and hazy with brown head. Aroma: heavy chocolate malt, reminding me on Rochefort Trappist. Flavor and Palate: A real malt bomb, with lots of c ara and roasted malts. Hence a flavor of cacao and coffee. Full bodied with a creamy texture. Not much CO2, but very well balanced. Thought also about Port wine some moments. Overall this beer can stand against every Trappist, especially Rochefort.

slightly opalescent dark amber to brown colour with some reddish notes, one inch creamy beige-ish head; aroma and taste of dried fruits, raisins, some grape, burnt candy sugar, biscuit, some apple and minimal dark chocolate notes; this is what one can expect from a quadrupel - not really sophisticated, but very enjoyable

Bottle from Mitra van Bergen. Dark brown caramel body with medium head. Nose of caramel, dark chocolate and malts. Taste is sweet, of caramel, but also nice chocolate taste to it. Some bitterness as well. Well done for De Proefbrouwerij.

Taste is a wonderfull mix of toasted malts, sticky malts, light but good medicinal, dark fruits like raisin, prunes, nice soft smooth bitter touch, some brown sugars, barleys, molasses. All well balanced. Dark fruit sweet sticky malty well balanced aftertaste. Low carbo, full body, soft mouthfeel and a light sticky texture. Good brew!
