Cask at Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell on 1st August 2014. Hazy gold with a thinning off-white film and scant lacing. Inviting hoppy, yeasty aroma. Bitter hoppiness in-mouth with a solid, satisfyingly bitter finish that intensifies, seemingly with each sip. Fair amount of body and engaging mouthfeel.

Cask - Pale malts with some earthy hops. Clear gold with a decent head. Bitter hops, perfumy and a long finish. Not bad.

Cask conditioned handpump Locomotive Wellingborough 11/ A golden beer with a white bubbly head. Some decent enough citricity from the hops but there’s a little diacetyl. A little flowery and a touch of biscuit. Served warmer than desired. Acceptable only.

On cask at the Ely Winter Beer Festival, 2012. Pours a golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma of caramel, yeast and alcohol. Similar flavours with mild carbonation, an oily mouth feel and a dry finish. Lingering caramel. OK.

Cask conditioned at The George, Ripley, Derby’s. Gold to amber with white head. Malty, grainy flavours initially with a slight rolled oat hint, then a peppery, hoppy bitterness emerges, drying and quite sharp. Pretty decent.
