Bottle. Dark chestnut, low offwhite head. A hint phenolic, roast sugar and molassis. Sweet burned sugar, roast, caramel, fruit bread - stuff going on here, ok hop balance, cuts well through. Berry retronasal.

Maria (10129) - Thisted, DENMARK - FEB 16, 2013
It’s mahogany with a light red hue with a creamy, lasting head. The aroma has notes of caramel, burnt sugar, fruit, nuts and licorice. The sweet flavor is incredibly soft and pleasant and has notes of caramel, burnt sugar, licorice, fruit, nuts and a light alcohol burn towards the finish, but without the taste - lovely doppelbock!

pivnizub (8745) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - FEB 9, 2013
Bottle: Clear, ruby-amber coloured, small - but stable - off-white head, moderate, not too sweet, malty caramelly nose; moderate sweet flavour, medium bodied; short caramelly finish with a delicate bitterness. Well drinkable, but not great at all...

Leini (726) - SWEDEN - FEB 3, 2013
330ml bottle. Darkbrown clear body with a thick head. Fresh aroma, although the smell of alcohol shines through a bit. Burnt crispbread, dark syrup, dried fruits. Bitter and spicy aftertaste. Thin body, medium carbonation. Too easygoing for a doppelbock if you ask me, and too much taste from the alcohol.

rarbring (1255) - Linköping, SWEDEN - JAN 6, 2013
Aroma: Smelling of brown bread, green apples and fresh grass.
Appearance: A clear brown colored beer. A low off-white head with some lacing and some curtains.
Taste: Tasting sweet bread, some burned toffee, orange marmalade and alcohol.
Palate: Low carbonation, a sticky texture. A medium body with a slightly dry finish.
Overall: Boozy and unbalanced, seems hasty brewed.
Note: Bottle 330 ml, part of a six pack Bavarian beers. Reviewed 2013-01-06.

Flaska från SB. Sirapsbrun vätska, lågt skum som snart är helt borta. Malttung doft, sirap, bröd, marsipan och plommon. Smaken går i samma stil, lätt kropp och blir snart avslagen och platt. Annars fina smaker.
