3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
It’s mahogany with a light red hue with a creamy, lasting head. The aroma has notes of caramel, burnt sugar, fruit, nuts and licorice. The sweet flavor is incredibly soft and pleasant and has notes of caramel, burnt sugar, licorice, fruit, nuts and a light alcohol burn towards the finish, but without the taste - lovely doppelbock!

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle: Clear, ruby-amber coloured, small - but stable - off-white head, moderate, not too sweet, malty caramelly nose; moderate sweet flavour, medium bodied; short caramelly finish with a delicate bitterness. Well drinkable, but not great at all...

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
330ml bottle. Darkbrown clear body with a thick head. Fresh aroma, although the smell of alcohol shines through a bit. Burnt crispbread, dark syrup, dried fruits. Bitter and spicy aftertaste. Thin body, medium carbonation. Too easygoing for a doppelbock if you ask me, and too much taste from the alcohol.
