Dark, murky, cloudy brown ale . Creamy average head . Light woody , sweet , slightly alcoholic nose , dry fruits . Medium bodied with initial strong dry carbonation, medium dry alcohol in noticeable. Decent strong ale, a bit shy.

Nose of brown sugar, sweet malt and nice hops, red plum in colour, pours a small toffee head. Tastes of red plums, and malt, the hops have subsided a bit, trace of almonds. Medium bodied, bitter and dry, alcohol is noted but enjoyed. A fine one! Thank You Radek.

Bottle...RBSG2005... Murky, caramel-colored ale. No head. The aroma is fruity and vineous; spicy and woodsy. The flavor is fruity and vineous as well with notes of apple and red wine. Tart and very lightly alcoholic. Medium-bodied with an oily mouthfeel and soft carbonation. The high ABV is fairly well hidden. No alcoholic bite or warmth.

UPDATED: DEC 11, 2012 Après y avoir goûté après un laps de quelques années, il semble que mes goûts ont changé. Je ne retrouve plus le mince goût caramel. Par contre, il y a toujours une bonne odeur de framboise, mais pour le reste, elle a plus un goût d’alcool qu’autre chose.

Just checked Cappy’s rating and said: better taste while its still fresh. Bought at Metro Johannette in April 2005. Lightly hazed deep reddish brown with a thick off-white head. Aroma of vanilla, banana and light citrus. Rather nice sweet candy sugar sweetness with lemony notes, notes of oranges and aniseed. Some hops are detected in final, very restrained and peppery, with lighter than expected alcohol warmth. Finally, a good Multibrasse!

(500ml bottle) Purchased at Le Goblet in Vaudreuil, QC. Pours a small white head and a beautiful cherry colour. Malty notes atop of banana and lemongrass. The flavour is fairly creamy and tart at the same time - I have found this to be a very enjoyable beer. Perhaps a tad off for a Belgian Strong (too tart) but the maltiness is appreciated. Lovely!

UPDATED: MAY 3, 2005 Couleur ambré foncé, peu de mousse. Très levurés, les arômes quelques peu citronnées comportent aussi des composantes phénolique allant vers les clous de girofle et le vernis. Corps d’épaisseur moyenne contenant une dose décente de malt caramel agrémenté par le curaçao. Sucré en bouche et pratiquement dépourvu de houblon, l’équilibre des éléments n’est pas représentatif du style indiqué. L’alcool, initialement apparente en retro-olfaction, devient de plus en plus évidente au fil des gorgées.

Sweet candy-like aroma is fruity and has some smokey hints. Opaque brown with decent and lasting cover of off-white head. Lightly fruity, brown malty flavour feels somewhat stale. Moderate carbonation though body is rather thin. Not a spectacular example of the style though I think there may have been oxidation issues with this beer. Claims to be a tripel but... Stem glass, just above fridge temp. Bottle sampled with MRomero548, Olivier, Rastacouere and Taktik_MTL.

Bouteille de 500 ml dégustée chez Tiggmtl en compagnie de Rastacouere et MrRomero548. Arôme: Odeur de cassonade et de jus en poudre. Apparence: Couleur ambrée foncée voilée. Col moyen qui disparaît vite. Saveur: Goût de caramel et d’alcool. Durée de l’arrière goût moyen. Palette: Corps moyen avec une texture d’alcool. Pas de carbonisation. Présence d’alcool en arrière goût. (Rating #119)

Bottle: Poured cloudy light brown, small head. Big sweet malty aroma, brown sugar, sweet fruity banana flavor. A little sweet for me but good.
