Hazy thick amber / dark orange poor with a thick frothy light brown head. Aromas of caramel malts, caramel, prunes, red grapes, raisins and burbon vanilla.... Nicely complexe. Mouthfeel is creamy and full bodied. Perfect balance between bitter and sweet... Low carbonation but ok for this type of brew. Flavors again are very complexe... a nice dark fruity explosion combined with a nice malty tone and hints of alcohol. Overall i am VERY impressed. Aromas and flavors are very evolutive as it gets to room temperature...

(500ml bottle) Purchased at Le Goblet in Vaudreuil, QC. Pours a small white head and a beautiful cherry colour. Malty notes atop of banana and lemongrass. The flavour is fairly creamy and tart at the same time - I have found this to be a very enjoyable beer. Perhaps a tad off for a Belgian Strong (too tart) but the maltiness is appreciated. Lovely!

Just checked Cappy’s rating and said: better taste while its still fresh. Bought at Metro Johannette in April 2005. Lightly hazed deep reddish brown with a thick off-white head. Aroma of vanilla, banana and light citrus. Rather nice sweet candy sugar sweetness with lemony notes, notes of oranges and aniseed. Some hops are detected in final, very restrained and peppery, with lighter than expected alcohol warmth. Finally, a good Multibrasse!

Dark, murky, cloudy brown ale . Creamy average head . Light woody , sweet , slightly alcoholic nose , dry fruits . Medium bodied with initial strong dry carbonation, medium dry alcohol in noticeable. Decent strong ale, a bit shy.

Bottle: Poured cloudy light brown, small head. Big sweet malty aroma, brown sugar, sweet fruity banana flavor. A little sweet for me but good.
