tiggmtl (4548) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 26, 2008
Lots of boiled vegetable aroma up front. Once that dissipates, citrus, floral hops are notable along with a very sweet and somewhat musky honey-like malt character. Slightly hazy, deep copper body is topped by a large bubbled, cream coloured head that recedes quite rapidly to a partial cover with some lacing. Boiled vegetable flavour is strong with plenty of underlying malt sweetness and fairly assertive bitterness. Aftertaste is herbal and citrus hops. Medium light body is somewhat astringent and puckering. Strong carbonation is very pointy on the tongue and cheeks. Tulip glass. Cellar temperature. Bottle (Le Gobelet, Jan-08).

Viper666 (2763) - Quebec, CANADA - FEB 6, 2008
Bouteille 500ml.

Lubiere (10438) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 3, 2007
A dark copper IPA with a thin off white head. Rather caramelized malt aroma with barely a hop in sight, a bit vinous and not unpleasant. In mouth, a light malting, with notes of butterscotch, a bit of an oily mouth feel, and some decent hops, dropping rather quickly. Rather dirty IPA, but like Dany said, a success for Multi-Brasses. Bought at Le Gobelet, Nov. 2007. 3.99$.

Bottle (500ml) shared with HogTownHarry, biegaman & Viggo -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a clear copper-orange with an average size diminishing off-white head. Aroma of oily hops and caramel malt is a little vegetal and has something odd in there that I can’t place -- it smells O.K. though. Watery flavour of light hops, grain and caramel malt starts decent enough but I really don’t care for the finish, it’s quite unpleasant. Light to average bodied. Not bad for this brewery but still not very good.

Bottle (500ml). Shared with blankboy, biegaman & viggo, my bottle via trade with Viper666. Hazy copper, smallish fizzy-creamy off-white head. Grainy, slightly herbal light citrus hop aroma - not bad. Taste is a little harsher, stale grain and very little hop character, dead bitterness in finish. Average, lightly carbonated body, quick finish and a stale aftertaste --- half-decent.

UPDATED: FEB 5, 2012 Clear copper body topped by a short-lived off-white head. Pleasant nose of orangey and pine-tree hops. oily caramel, banana and citrus flavours join forces to create an oily hops essence mixture. Hops are not as powerful as the aroma suggested, and that’s too bad. Nonetheless the balance is slightly towards the hops. Mild juicy bitterness. Minimal carbonation, the beer could have used a little help in that department. Decent unmemorable IPA. For the usually despicable Multi-Brasses this is a crowned achievement. Had it been put out by some other quebec micro the ratings would have been more generous. I feel weird. Me, of all people, defending Multi-Brasses from bad ratings. Like a conservative religious cop protecting an abortion doctor from an angry lynch mob.
