COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

0.33l bottle from brew 0062. Quite a elegant looking one this, deep amber almost a little reddish amber in color, quite cloudy and a nice big lasting off-white head safely placed on the top. Hmm.. Fruity and diacetyl are the first two aromas hitting the nose. Yeah, really buttery and actually not all that pleasing at all. Caramel diacetyl with traces of muddy sweet straw and raspberries. Not a DIPA aroma at all. Tastes a little better but there’s also lots of diacetyl in the taste. Alcohol and yeast working together with the extreme bitterness here. Thick and oily in the mouth and it’s nicely prickling on the carbonation. A massive licorice-like bitterness kicking you in the face. Almost making me sneeze after each sip. Really piney and pungent. A massive beast that could have been really interesting if it hadn’t been for that ridiculous amount of buttery diacetyl. 22.12.2014

Fresh hoppy fruity aroma. Cascade is very present. White head, clear golden appearance. Heavy bitterness, light-medium sweetness. Not too bitter after taste - well balanced. Average carbonation, creamy texture, full body. Good beer by Munkebo - though you expect a strong dark beer to be called Sleipner, the high bitterness and alcohol meets the expectations.

Hazy light amber, big offwhite froth. Fruity hop aroma, malt and light alcohol. Flavour has strong bitterness, grapefruit, orange peel and malt. Some sweetness and salty notes. Late and light alchohol burn. Slightly rough in a nice way.

Big off white head. Hazy dark golden apricot body. Ok lacing. Aroma of malts, dough, berries, pine, hops, leather, grains. Tastes strong hops juice, power resin, winey roasted malts, bitter leather, dark dried fruits – leading to a lingering finish in bitter resiny fruit juice. Heavy body, soft fizz. An imperial IPA for an experienced IPA-lover. Somewhat too heavy for us regular pilsener-lovers. [33cl br btl, 9.4%abv, BB:Aug.2019 #0051, B@Kvickly Middelfart DK]
