Easter beer. Single hop pale ale on Hallertau Comet.

The taste is OK; but there is too little of it. The beer seems to ask for more hops, but was deprived from it.

Taphouse, Copenhagen. Keg share with many Ratebeerians. Light haze on this gold beer, small white head. Palate is light with a fine carbonated crispness. Very nice tinned peach and mango. A lightly sourish bite keeps it fresh. Smooth semi dry finish. Very fruity!

Bottle batch 76, best before 02/2017? Hazy orange with a medium sized frothy off white head. Pretty neutral nose with some dust and light fruit. Doesn’t deliver anything in terms of flavour; some light sweet grains, dust, wet wood, light fruit. Thin and spritzy. Light sweet with low bitterness, the finish is light dry. So boring and devoid of flavour that it hurts.

330 ml bottle. Unclear dark orange body with a small off-white head. Aroma has malt, caramel, citric fruit and some marmalade. Flavor is sweet malt, caramel, moderate citric fruit, a hint of pine and moderate in bitterness. OK body and medium aftertaste. Malt driven beer, feels a bit more like an amber as the bitterness is more in the background. Totally drinkable but a bit one dimensional.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy amber-orange body with a small off-white head. Nose is pine, citric peel, grapefruit, red berries, rose water and hints of bread, straw and grass. Taste is red berries, rose water, raisins, butterscotch, sweet grainy notes, grass and hints of grapefruit, pine and melon. Medium to light body, medium carbonation. Quite a fruity and fresh APA, lots of drinkability and still a bit of complexity to boot. However, the somehow sweet malt background with some diacetyl coming through when the glass warms up draws down the score a bit.
