Ungstrup (11031), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 5, 2007 Bottled. An amber beer with a thin light brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, and lesser notes of dusty hops. The flavor is very sweet malty - a bit like a Danish hvidtøl - with strong notes of caramel. No wonder the body is thin. Small fine-laced head that clings to the glass. Subtle nutty and marzipan-like aroma. Little hops in the nose. High carbonation with a rather sharp bite. Notes of red berries. Lots of hop bitterness, but the thin body soon stand out. Grassy hop flavours mixed with münchenermalt towards the finish.
