2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Big white coarse-laced head over light yellow body. Light watery aroma of grain and straw with a touch of hops. Light, clean taste of grain with notes of straw and hops, with nicely crisp, spicy, slightly bitter aftertaste. Spicy bitterness lingers. Watery mouthfeel. Not at all bad for a low alcohol. It doesn’t really have that spicy sweetness that is typical for Asian beers; it’s really more like a better and more watery version of normal Munkholm. The hops are really what makes this beer.

440 ml can. Crystal clear, light golden colour. Throws a tall fluffy white head that clings to the glass. Grainy aroma, but otherwise clean. Gentle bitterness at first then more grainy flavours. The little bitterness melds into a fruity and grainy finish. Pointless.

Very pale with low aroma. Drinkable, not that bad. Some sweetness, but not overwhelming. Low "fresh wort" character.

Thin and watery, but slightly better than their 78 degress variety. OK hops, not much of a taste at all.

I celebrated Walpurgisnacht with two n/a beers from Munkholm! This one was served chilled from a 500ml red can. Clear straw yellow body under a creamy white head that lasted for about five minutes. Light smell of dry hay and wort. Vague grainy taste leading to a rather wet flatbread finish. Impossible to notice the special Asian touch (30.04.2007).

(Can 44 cl) Courtesy of yngwie. Clear, pale golden with a tiny, white head. Aroma of steeped grain. Thin and watery with lightly malty accents and a whiff of cardboard. Very discreet bitterness. Bland. 301007

0,5 l can. Ligth in color, aroma and flavor. Goes particularly well with spicy food and Asian dishes - not. I´ll rather not drive...

500 ml can. Extremely pale body with a thin white head. Very vague aroma and flavor. Difficult to find anything positive to say about this. All together very minimalist in every sense. Almost no color, almost no aroma, almost no flavor, no bitterness, no aftertaste. My own urine is more beer after a drinking session.
