33 cL bottle. Pours clear golden orange with a little white head. Slight buttery and malty aroma with minor spice note. Slight caramel sweet flavour, slight hoppiness. Sweet to dry finish.

Bottle. Sweet, toasted bread aroma. Clear shiny copper colour, small white head. A little caramel flavour. Fades away in aftertaste except a hint of metal. Not much of the horrible bitterness you often get in Alkofreis.

Bottled. Clear, golden with a decent off-white head leaving nice lacings. Malty and bready aroma with some sweet fruityness. Thin and sticky body with caramel-sweetness and bready notes. Some fruity notes as well. The finish is malty and sweet. The other Munkholm Spesial Jul is marginally better than this one in my opinion. If one needs a non-alcohol alternative, Norway has finally got not only one, but two choices. (061105)
