COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle. Clear yellow with a large white head. Grains and light hoppy notes. The flavour is sourish malt, citrus and wet grass. Quite thin in mouthfeel. Short finish. Not really marzen like at all - forgettable.

0.33l twist off bottle from somewhere in Graz, as Murauer Bier. Poured a quite pale golden body with a small head. Weak nose, slightly herbal carrying some maltiness too. Light taste, slightly bready maltiness, slightly herbal, kinda salty hopiness. Slightly soapy and a teeny tiny bit of metal. Not all that bad, but not the greatest Austrian "märzen" there is in my opinion.

courtesy of Markus Wernig - crystal clear pale golden colour with a little foam left; grassy oily hops hit the nose; sweet and gently oily on the tongue, a light astringent bitterness before a quite long grassy finish - deeply boring

Pours amber with medium white head. Grassy herbyal cereal/corn aroma. Flavor is malty with corn in it. The corn/cereal touch is too dominating to really enjoy this beer.

0,5 l bottle bought in a Billa, Murau. It has a clear yellow body with a small white head.Malty nose with some hop. Medium body with fine malt, sourish yeast and strong hop. Dry finish, bittery aftertaste. Rather a pilsner, but fine and drinkable.

***AUSTRIAN BEER # 100*** bottle from Bierzwerg. Clear golden yellow, large white head. Malty nose. Medium-bodied, pleasantly malty with a fruity touch and some resiny-grassy hops in the finish. A decent brew.

Draught at Schwarzer Rabe, Vienna. Lightly hazy straw colour, small head. Sweert and sugary, mild and creamy with light-medium body. A super mild beer, very restrained in hops. Sweet and creamy in the typical Austrian tradition, and almost without bitterness.
