(bottle) pours a slightly hazy deep amber colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of sweet spices and raisins, slightly sweaty in a good way, caramelized almonds, herbal hops and a light hint of smoke. flavour is mostly the same, sweet spices and bread dough, quite mellow, with some strawberries and the faintest hint of gently roasted malts. medium-bodied with average carbonation.

Bottled (from Landbierparadies, in an old box that I found). Deep brown colour with a mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is toasted malts, some ripe fruits, mild berries as well as some toffee. Flavour is rather similar with some mild toffee and ashes as well. Quite rich carbonation.

Bottle @ Uncle Chris’ house in Fürth. Clear, burnt orange appearance with a fluffy, tan head. Quite spicy, nutmeg, chewy, toasty malty aroma. Spicy yeasty, chewy, cracker, a touch burnt malty flavor. Kind of weird. Definitely not one of my favorites.

Bottle by 30.10. Nose is caramel and rich, spicy dark malt that reminds of Andechser’s bocks, and there’s some non-sublte grape, too. Clear dark copper body with a short head. Crisp light body is malty with toffee, earth, caramel, light roast, faint chocolate, sticky bocky grape, touch of brown sugar; a little dry and a little spicy with a little kick of alcohol – lots of little accents here and there, but a convincing synergy even if the overall feel is a little rough.

The head is robust and the body is brown. The flavour is sweet, a bit dark-malty overall a bit mild. In the aftertaste it is also a bit citrus-herb. Could be more intensiv! 11/9/9/9/13/10

bottled, thanks to mowbeer for sharing. amber brown with only a thin head; aroma of red berry and muddy puddle; hints of sourdough and a metallic bitter finish; average but decent dunkel

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!
Der Antrunk ist sehr lecker röstmalzig. Im Nachgeschmack ists etwas bitter, jedoch wirkt es sehr angenehm und macht das Dunkle sehr ausgewogen. Lässt sich sehr angenehm trinken!

Bottle from Landbierparadies. Medium brown in colour with a slight, off-white head. Sweet, caramel and nut aroma. Flavours of toffee and berry fruit before a dryish finish. Fine.
