BEERGUY007 (202), Scotia, New York, USA Dec 23, 2007 Great beer! Dark black, reminds me of Beamish. Same style, thick black, awesome head. Tiny packed bubbles in the head that lasts forever! Nice and creamy. I will get this one over and over. Tastes like espresso, some carmel overtones. Great beer by some great people! I would love to get this one on tap.
islander22 (4), Vashon, Washington, USA does not count Nov 1, 2008 It’s a stout. What else can be said? It’s lighter in flavor than others but that doesnt make it smoother. Great white head and dark beer with slightly sweet aroma. marios23 (16), nicosia, Cyprus Oct 31, 2008 I prefer this to Guinness, but i like both. Nice taste of caramel and roasted malt. Beltramelli (471), Campinas, Brazil Sep 18, 2008 A Murphy´s é famosa na Irlanda, e segue o estilo das irlandesas de nobre estirpe: preta, forte e saborosa. rampmaster (185), Alden, New York, USA Aug 26, 2008 Presentation: It was poured from a 16oz. nitro-can or “Draughtflow” can into a pint glass.
Appearance: The body was black as night with an abundance of small dark tan bubbles that fills the top half of the glass before slowly settling at the top of the glass. The head that forms is thick and creamy with a light tan color.
Smell: Its aroma has a light bouquet of roasted chocolate and caramel malts.
Taste/Mouth feel: There is a very smooth creamy yet dry character throughout with a nice roasted maltiness as well. Hop bitterness is mild and most noticeable in the finish. Its medium bodied smooth and thins out towards the dry finish.
Notes: This stout has a big smooth and creamy character from the nitro system and a maltier flavor than some other nitro stouts that I have tried.
