Clasica cerveza irlandesa.

Copper reddish colour with a medium off-white head. Caramel, malts and herbal aroma. Taste is sweet at front with more bitterness towards the finish. Overall, drinkable but not remarkable.

Review based on the BJCP2008 guidelines (style 9D). Bottle 33 cl - Batch 4263528S0741. AROMA: predominant metalic aroma with some faint malt caramel notes. No hop aromas. Clean. APPEARANCE: coppery red color and translucent. beige average head with average retention. TASTE: caramel malt flavour with some toasty and roasted notes. there is some metalic flavour present. medium-low to low bitterness with a roasted and semi-dry finish. PALATE: medium-low body with average carbonation. OVERALL: a not so bad irish red ale with some sweet and caramely malt flavour and a roasted finish. has some metalic flavour though.

Refreshing bitterness and harsh malt sweetness melt into this prototype of irish red beers. The colour is caused by the special malt mixture that also gives this quite unique taste. Some might think this beer is a bit old-fashioned but, name it ’New Craft Copper Lager’ and it’ll please a lot of people. The carbonation is relatively strong which enhances the refreshing character, the body is light to medium. And the finish is nicely dry hoppy. A classic brewing style and a refreshing but characterful lager.

Red-brown clear with minimalistic head. Quite ordinary taste: mild bitterness surrounded by some sweetness, lasting bitter aftertaste.

at the Auld Rogue in Stuttgart. not a bad beer. i can tell this is mass produced, a bit watery. slightly malty, a little bitterness. very sessionable. not my favorite, but a good change of pace from all the German stuff. didn’t know it was made in the Netherlands until i wrote this review.

Pours a clear amber color, topped with a medium off-white frothy head. Caramel aroma, also some herbal notes in there, but very mild. Taste starts sweet, caramel notes, finishing with a quite mild bitterness. Some metallic feel in the aftertaste. It’s not bad, but. it’s not that great either. Pretty average, really.

Bottle at home. Pours a reddish amber with a thing, quickly dissipating off white head. Aroma is light caramel, slightly spicy, and slightly peppery. Flavor is toffee, light caramel. Nice maltiness also. Carbonation is a bit too high. Has a soda pop carbonation feeling to it. Overall, a drinkable beer.

Clear amber color with small head. Aroma of caramel, a bit of english hops. Taste is straightforward light caramel and a bit bitterness. Light mouthfeel, english ale carbonation. A standard red ale, really nothing special.
