Zapach z butelki: Karmelowo-słodowy, z delikatnym orzechem. Piana: Średnio obfita, drobnopęcherzykowa, nietrwała, biała. Kolor: Klarowne bursztynowe. Zapach: Słodowy, gdzieś pomiędzy tostem, orzechem a karmelem. Smak: Średnio-niska podbudowa, nieco kwiatowej owocowości, dość wyraźne, lekko kwaskowe nuty karmelu. Tekstura: Średnio-niskie ciało. Nasycenie: Średnio-niskie. Goryczka: Średnia, nieco ziołowa. Pijalność: Średnia. Niezbyt ciekawe piwo.

The most easily available Irish red, with 19th-century roots. Snow white head, copperish colour, malty aroma of caramel and toasted bread, bit one-dimensional, caramelly taste with bitter finish and thin body. Enjoyable as a session beer but deserves more complexity.

30cl bottle @ home from local supermarket. Clear amber color, small creamy off-white average lasting good lacing head. Aroma caramel, malt, honey, watery, too moderated. Taste light to medium sweetness, light to medium bitterness, hint of sourness. Light body, thin texture, dry feel, soft carbonation, mostly diminishing bitter-sweet finish. Refreshing, easy, similar like a german brown land-/kellerbeer, not to exciting, however it was one of my favorite years ago.

Something weird with this beer. Litlle boring cause It have just a very low roasted malt taste that disaperars so fast, but I love his creamy body.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 4/29/2013. Pours slightly cloudy deep orange/copper color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of caramel, toast, brown bread, raisin, plum, pear, apple, light chocolate, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with well balanced bready malt, fruity yeast ester, and light hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of caramel, toffee, toast, brown bread, raisin, plum, pear, apple, light chocolate, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Minimal earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, toffee, toast, brown bread, raisin, plum, pear, apple, light chocolate, herbal, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Nice flavor balance and solid complexity of bready malt, fruity yeast ester, and light hop flavors; with solid robustness and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish as expected of 5%. Overall this is a very solid Irish red ale. Nice balance and solid robustness of bready malt, fruity yeast ester, and light hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A pleasant and enjoyable offering.

Color rojizo intenso, vierte mucha espuma de retención escasa, olor y sabor a maltas bien tostadas, muy buen paso de boca sin apenas amargor y dejando buenas sensaciones, con pos gusto fresco y maltoso.

The color of the body is a beautiful amber hue with very good clarity. Its head is a creamy off white colored foam which is slow fading. A quick swirl of the beer will keep a small cap of foam on top till the last sip. The head also makes some cool slick and spotty lace on the glass. It has a light modest nose with light toasted gain notes equaled by some herbal like hop notes. The flavor takes after the aroma. It has some pale bready and light toasted malt notes. It has mellow sweetness and more of a raw grain character. This is complemented by a balanced herbal and an almost floral like hops which has just a very slight lemon/orange peel note as well. It finishes fairly dry with mellow hops bitterness and the palate is light to medium bodied with balanced carbonation.

Drunk on draught at kitty o'sheas in Brussels. Anodyne ale like beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
