llcooldave (159), San Antonio, Texas, USA Apr 18, 2008 Really foamy head and copper in color. A bit of a medicinal hops in aroma almost like eucalyptus. I want to say it has a bit of a sweet malt taste with a nice coffee aftertaste. Get better as it warms in the glass. Overall it’s not bad. So far this style, Irish Ale, has not really impressed me that much so my ratings for this style will reflect that.
Mambru (2), Caceres, Spain does not count Aug 28, 2008 Great beer, with good body and pleasant flavor. The genuine aroma of Ireland in the glass. Rune_Stumo (74), FØRRESFJORDEN, Norway Aug 16, 2008 16.08.2008, 0,5l Can. Canned by Hansa Borg Bryggerier AS, Norway, ABV 4,7%. The colour is amber red. Firm head that lasts. Medium body with creamy texture. The beer is a little sweet with some bitternes in the aftertaste. mdm46410 (554), Griffith, Indiana, USA Aug 13, 2008 Poured from a 16oz can and served in an English pint glass. This beer poured a clear, light mahogany hue with a large, fluffy head of off-white foam. Decent lacing. The aroma of the beer was made up of toasted malts, mild caramel, and corn. The flavor was highly metallic and contained faint notes of caramel and toasted grains. The mouthfeel was watery and light-bodied. Moderate carbonation. Corn and metal...not my cup of tea. Borresteijn (511), Amstelveen, Netherlands Aug 10, 2008 On tap. Amber colour, creamy head. Aroma of malts and iron, watery. Flavour is of roasted malts, a little caramel. Slight bitterness. OK beer. AndrewKScott (330), Lemont, Illinois, USA Aug 6, 2008 Pretty lame beer. Usually I’m a big fan of red ales, but I had this on tap at the Fatman Bowl in Lake bluff, and it was pretty pedestrian. Drinkable, but wouldn’t have again.
