I was a bit disappointed with this beer. I was expecting a good full-flavored, robust red beer bursting with lots of caramelized malt flavor. But what I got tasted like if they made a "light" red beer, this is what it would taste like. It wasn’t repulsive, but it definitely left much to be desired. I guess the best word for this beer would be "eh..."

Nov 20, 2008 Pours orange amber into an English pint. Bright white micro head quickly recedes to skim surface. Detergent aromas. Rather non-descript sparkly caramel. Slight bitter finish.

Nov 18, 2008 Mmmmm, nothing says "Irish" like a dutch-brewed beer! Pale amber, caramel aroma with a faint bourbon-barrel quality to it. Low bitterness, a little thin.

Nov 15, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a medium white head. The aroma is sweet caramel malts and some light grassy notes. The taste was fairly skunked; sweet caramel malts, light hops and grassy flavors also. Overall, decent, but a bit off. Slightly bitter finish.

Oct 26, 2008 Not a good beer. I don’t know why I thought it would be good. Crisp and dry with bitterness.
