3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: DEC 20, 2004 You should be able to find this stuff just about anywhere and it is pretty decent stuff. Its a little on the expensive side and the nitro can hurts just about any beer, but if you enjoy guiness from the can you will like this.

Not as consistantly good as Guinness is on tap - is that due to Guinness diligence or Murphys lack of? When good it is a fine beer.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
I like the way it looks. Black with a thick creamy head: beautiful! But when is it going to taste like the way it looks? It will probably never be so... :-(

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Weak aroma. Black coffee taste. Not as bitter as Guinness but not as flavorful either. A decent beer that goes well with food.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
From a nitro can. Pours black with a smallish but thick head; just not as distinctive as the Big G that it begs to be compared with. Aroma is rather slight, but with usual coffee/roasted grain components. Flavor initially seems rather nice, but the hoppy bitterness seems to have more than a hint of aluminum or iron to me. Body ok, perhaps a bit thin. Doesn’t work; if you must have an Irish dry stout, go with the biggest name for once...
