14.9 ounce can, why can’t this be a full pint? is saving 1.1 ounces is REALLY going to affect your bottom line that much? stupid accountants, anywhoo solid beer pours dark almost black with a thick nitrogeny head, tastes good, similar to Guinness but better in my opinion. My mom uses this for cooking, I use it for drinking. Solid would be again

Shared 14.9 oz. can. Pours dark brown, almost black, with a creamy fine-grained beige head. Aroma of roasted malt. Taste is roasted malt, with faint hints of chocolate and coffee. Palate is a bit thin. Disappointing.

Draught Very dense, ultra-fine beige-cream head over jet-black beer. Good burnt/stout’ nose with some black chocolate, roasted coffee and old wood. Taste is much more mildly roasted, if not really sweetish. Finish sports a bit of charcoal. Medium bodied, quite slick, good carbonation, if the texture is less creamy than I seem to remember. The quintessential Corcaigh stout, amen to Beamish.

Aroma: classic stout aroma with chocolate and a little booze; Appearance: rich, off white head over black body; Taste: surprisingly tasteless - perhaps I’ve been drinking imperial stouts too much recently; a little watery; Palate: heavy body without substance; Overall: not one to buy again.

Draught at De Zeemeeuw, Amsterdam. Pitch black with a medium soapy tan head. Light to medium body with low to moderate carbonation. Nice subtle bitter and sweet tones. Smooth coffee and chocolate, roasted malts and some caramel. Good stout.

Can from local market. Pours black beer with creamy light tan head. The taste is very roasty and for me rich as well, even though beer is free from carbonation. In my opinion this is better than Guinness Draught. Not even near to my favorite stouts, but very drinkable and enjoyable from every now and then.

Served in a pint glass from a 440ml nitro can. Pours almost black colour which is actually an extremely dark ruby when held against the light. Once settled, a medium sized creamy beige head is formed and stays all the way through, leaving a medium lacing inside the glass. Aroma is malts, molasses and some grassy notes. Taste is molasses and very mild malts with some earthy notes, very soft bitter-sweet finish. Slick and slightly watery texture with flat carbonation, this combination makes it very quaffable. Nothing extraordinary, simple, smooth and a pleasant stout, a good thirst quencher.

The aroma of this stout was noticeably very good, but, in all other respects, this is not as good as Guinness. Somewhat watery with an inconsistent taste. It seems as is there is too much carbonation and an unidentified bitterness, not the favorable bitterness of hops.

Keg at Copthorne Hotel; dark black pour with a creamy light tan head, aroma has some roast and chocolate, taste has watery roast malts, OK.
