UPDATED: FEB 25, 2015 Can. Pours a black colour with a ruby tint and a creamy white head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and lactose. Taste again of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and some bitterness. A smooth and creamy texture but light bodied. A dry roasted finish. Best mass produced canned stout I’ve had so far.

Bonne stout , bue en canette donc léger goût métallique, bulles fines et arômes de café grillé. Amertume douce , finale courte, je préfère tout de même la guinesse dans le genre.

UPDATED: FEB 12, 2015 Can: Nitro widget & all. Almost black with some deep brown at the edges; creamy, pale-tan head froths up & rests on top. Aroma & flavor are kind of muted, a little weak. Roasted grains, dry coffee grounds, dark malt, burnt barley. Slightly earthy... Maybe some very, very slight dry cacao. But not much. Mostly just a roasty malt onslaught. Thin bodied with a dry finish, although it has a bit of creaminess, likely thanks to the nitrogen. Not great, but hard to pass up for one dollar pint cans when you’re just looking for something to wash down your fish & chips, nomsayin?

Black with an inch thick, creamy light brown head with white freckles. Head lasts all the way to the last sip. Chocolate and roasted caramel sauce on the nose. Sweet and smooth. Gentle carbonation. Roasted caramel. Medium body.

From tap at The Bristol Pub, Thessaloniki. Black color with light beige creamy head. Light roasted malty aroma, light coffee, light caramel. Sweet and bitter taste like aroma. Medium creamy body with flat to soft carbonation.

A great example of the style. If you like the nitro effect of a stout on draft, you should try this. Murphy’s makes a classic light stout that can be enjoyed anywhere anytime. Additionally, its smooth mouth feel and lower level of carbonation means that a couple of these could go down easier than you’d think.

Insanely beautiful beer. Pitch black with a beige colored foam that probably lasts longer than you need to finish the beer. The taste is blackish body and watery. Boring if drunk.

From the draught can. A full 5 in appearance. Black with a creamy beige head that is perfectly stable. Roasted malt, ashes, coffee. Taste is coffee and a bit milk, with a bit of a crisp bitterness in the finish. A bit watery mouthfeel, like many stouts. Super-smooth ale carbonation, near-flat. Ok. Dry stouts are just generically boring I guess. Still quite enjoyable.
