Poured into a Guinness glass, dark brown red with a creamy head. Light bodied (watery) with faint malt aroma. Coffee and malt taste, very mildly bitter finish. Bland beer.

0,5l can from Viking Line Tax Free. Pours almost black. Aroma is roasted coffee and some chocolate. The aroma is alright but I’m very disappointed with the taste. It was watery and bitter. And bitter as if something was wrong. As if all the taste was run through water too many times. Don’t see the hype.

Frisch vom Hahn in Jelenia Gora. Dunkley Rotbraun im Glas. Malzig-kratzig, wie ein Stout sein muss.

Musta olut paksulla kermaisella parin sentin vaahtokerroksella, joka jättää kivasti pitsiä. Typpikapselin ansiota toki. Tuoksu paahteisen maltainen, kahvinen ja suklainen. Maku paahteinen, kahvinen ja suklainen sekä "maitoinen". Hieman vetinen. Keskitäyteläinen kermainen suutuntuma. Pesee Guinnessin vastaavan yllättävän selvästi.

440ml nitro can (as Murphy’s Draught Irish Stout) poured into a Guinness pint glass :)
Black appearance with a one-two finger thick creamy and perfectly smooth beige head, good retention. Aroma: lightly roasted malt, chocolate. Taste: same as the aroma, chocolate and roasted malt flavours, coffee, bittersweet. Very low carbonation, smooth but quite watery texture. Quite similar to Guinness, probably not as good in my opinion, but it’s a standard drinkable stout.

Good standby dry stout, I like it better than Guinness (maybe just cuz it’s indier) but also I find it creamier and less variable.
