Tap. Dark brown pour with thick white head. Smells of roasted malts and slight chocolate. Tastes like a watered down guiness. Not one of my favorites.

Pint in the Olympia. Earthy, wood, some light coffee notes. Flavour follows nose. Fairly good although in class pint glass. Beats the piss brigade.

Helt svart med fløyelsmykt skum som varer. Duft av kaffe, nøtter og lakris. Smaken er dominert av espresso og litt lakris. Tørr og myk munnfølelse. Gammel helt skuffer ikke.

Aroma is roasty, chocolate, coffee.
Flavor is roasted malt, light coffee, bitter chocolate. Body is thin and watery.

Pitch black bidy and a creamy light brown head. Nose has roasted chokolate and coffee. Taste has an odd fruity citrus note that I can’t believe should be present. Low carbonation and light, somewhat watery palate. Pretty nice but the fruity note and watery mouthfeel is a bit of a downer.

UPDATED: OCT 7, 2015 I love the creamy deliciousness of this stout! It has a bit more bite than a Guinness, but it is what it is. It’s certainly not a detriment to the flavor of this brew and I always love to spend an evening enjoying Murphy’s. This is, hands down, my favorite stout and my favorite brew.

Can at the Olympic Stadium, New Zealand vs Namibia. Don’t see this so often these days, maybe I’ve just graduated from drinking in crappy Irish bars. Jet black, white head. I quite like it, slightly chocolately roasted malt flavour, just enough bitterness, quite dry.

Beautiful creamy off-white foam settles thick on Murphy’s stout. The aroma is limited to practically nothing because of its compact foam. The taste is like a typical Irish dry stout, with English licorice in moderation and good top quality coffee with a dry aftertaste.

Black with thick and creamy tan head. Chocolate, tobacco and floral. Slick, light acidity, cream and sweet finish. Overall: Very nice. Beautiful beer!
