Typical nitrogenized stout, with initial sandy looking cascades. Otherwise it’s black, and the one finger head is permanent. Roasted toffee and nut aroma. Basic dark malty taste, mainly coffee notes. Unfortunately overly light and watery, and not very dry. Preferable to the ’other’ Irish stout for flavor, thought not body.

Brewed with more coffe malts than "the mother" of all Irish stout this beer has a more micro brewed flavor. The nitrogen generated head color and aroma are great and makes this beer a more than acceptable option to other Irish stouts on the market.

Not offering much for senses, but very session and drinkable beer. Well , not much stouty, rather watery.

Can. Black pour, foamy creme colored nitro head. Nose is dark roasted malt, hint coffee. Bittersweet. Middle is dark malt, coffee notes, hint of biscuit, mineral tang, medium body. Finish starts fruity but comes out dry.

From tap at Krambua, Trondheim. Dark brown. Uneven, pale brown head. Aroma of dark caramel, dark malt and chocolate. Similar faste. A bit wagerish.

Wow, I was totally surprised how much I liked this. Maybe not the most complex brew ever, delicious and balanced, dosent try too hard and does good its thing. Im starting to like more and more these kind of fairly priced "normal beers" as opposed to somtimes over-hyped, over priced cult beers, that often are imo all over the place with just too much that, too much this. Keep it simple...
