4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: JUN 28, 2013 One of my favorite stouts. Similar to Guinness, but with a nicer flavor profile. It has a mild slightly burned caramel finish is especially like. Not very thick or heavy, quite fresh for a stout. Too bad itís very hard to get it over here.

Pitch black bidy and a creamy light brown head. Nose has roasted chokolate and coffee. Taste has an odd fruity citrus note that I canít believe should be present. Low carbonation and light, somewhat watery palate. Pretty nice but the fruity note and watery mouthfeel is a bit of a downer.

This is coming from a beer drinker whoís stomach has been altered by surgery, okay? I canít drink any beer thatís highly carbonated, so my choices are limited. This beer is outstanding and very drinkable for me. Itís one of my favorites - I can drink a lot of it! After not having beer for several years, thatís some pretty damn good news in my world.

Can at the Olympic Stadium, New Zealand vs Namibia. Donít see this so often these days, maybe Iíve just graduated from drinking in crappy Irish bars. Jet black, white head. I quite like it, slightly chocolately roasted malt flavour, just enough bitterness, quite dry.

Beautiful creamy off-white foam settles thick on Murphyís stout. The aroma is limited to practically nothing because of its compact foam. The taste is like a typical Irish dry stout, with English licorice in moderation and good top quality coffee with a dry aftertaste.

Usual black with beige creamy head. Malty aroma, bitter coffe, malts and chocolate taste. A classic, still decent although Heineken is destroying this as well
