Brownish dark. Good head but not as good as a stout should have. Very neutral taste. Almost like cola without gas. Why would anyone drink this while they could drink Beamish or Guinness?

Can picked up at Yamaya on sale due to it being near the expiry date & drunk to celebrate St-Patrick’s Day in a pint glass. It poured with that rising foam look of a nitro or cask beer thanks to the widget - beautiful stouty goodness. Pitch black in the glass with a thick creamy beige head that coats the sides of the glass in thick layer of foam as I drink the beer. The nose is creamy roast malts. Great smooth body but a bit light, almost watery. The taste is mild, much milder than Shiga Kogen’s Domestic Dry Stout. It gives me a light bitterness, dark chocolate, pitted fruits & a touch of coffee. Good but kind of middle of the road, my favorite things about this beer are it’s appearance & body.

Black with creamy off white head. Biscuity with strong coffee flavor. Malty yet highly drinkable. Probably my favorite of the style

Consumed on 17 March 2014 - St Particks Day!
500ml tin with gas widget.
Chocolate & toffee. Very tight beige head. Very dark brown colour. Tannin, with a sweet & bitter after taste.
I much prefer this to Guinness from time spent in Ireland.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a finger of light tan head on a black body.
The aroma is black licorice, roasted malt and milk.
The taste is mild with light roasted malt and milk. Finishes with a mild bitter note.
The texture is smooth with a medium body.
It hits the right notes for a milder stout. Quite enjoyable.
