Tap. Nice sweet, roasted and chocolate aroma. Beautiful black color with a thick creamy beige head. Nice mild roasted and chocolate flavor with a hint og coffee. Mild palate with a slight bitter coffee note. Nice!

Black beer with decent, though not that lasting, head; aroma of roasted malt and sweet chocolate; mouthfeel is watery with a very low carbonation; flavor of somehow bitter, sweet (still not not bittersweet anyway) milk chocolate - I know: odd mix, but don´t know how to describe it better. It´s strange: from the very first sip this beer already felt like it had gone flat - and it´s still quite pleasant actually.

Can. Pours black with a thick lasting grayish brown head. Aroma is full of roasted malts with notes of dark chocolate. Flavor is a nice combo of roasted malts and dark chocolate with a dry finish. Though the flavor did seem a bit watered down.

Light roasted malt aroma along with some chocolate. Extremely low carbonation. Pours pitch black with a decent sized creamy off white head that leaves some lacing. Light flavors of chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. Was a bit too thin. Overall not a bad stout but I prefer Guinness.

Murphy’s Irish Stout is a damn good beer. It is most often compared to Guinness Draught for a good reason: the two are similar in all respects, with the exception that Murphy’s is a bit lighter than Guinness. What some complain about as "watery" is Murphy’s near complete absence of carbonation. Like Guinness Draft, canned versions of Murphy’s contain a nitrogen widget which yields a supremely creamy brew, perhaps even creamier than its Irish cousins. Murphy’s comes out with a picturesque, beautiful cream-colored head, and a deep black body that is pure beauty to behold. The aroma is of roasted malt with hints of chocolate and coffee, similar to Guinness Draught. Murphy’s is a bit sweeter than most dry stouts but, for this type of beer, it works. This is not a beer for those who like Guinness Extra Stout, foreign stouts, or highly hopped stouts: Murphy’s is a uniquely drinkable -- nay, gulpable -- stout that has me enthralled with its beauty every time I pour a pint. I just love this beer and would gladly enjoy a Murphy’s any day of the week, any time.

I prefer this to the American Guinness by a long shot. Sweeter, better mouthfeel, and goes down smoother. A hearty quaffer. Brings back some great memories from the college days playing Grand Theft Auto in my apartment with the buddies. I always had my fridge stocked with cases of Murphy’s.

Poured into a Guinness glass at a bar. Dark ruby/garnet color with a thick beige head. Aroma is pretty mellow of a little licorice and chocolate malts. Taste is the same with some hop character, more chocolate/roasted malt. Nice brew

(cm/bk-can, "pub draught")
creamy head, low co2,
bland start but builds in bitterness and charcoal malt as it goes.

Pours out a nice dark brown with creamy head. Nice light malty aroma that is rather toasty with a subtle chocolate character. Body is light a smooth. A strong toasty flavor is apparent followed by a little chocolate flavor. Finishes out quickly but leaves a little dry feeling in the mouth. Overall a little thin, but quite enjoyable.
