Very nice appearance, very nice foam. Beautifull colour. A lot of taste chocolate, canadian dark maple syrup, mulch. I prefer my hot chocolate made in hot creamy milk, not in hot water. This hot chocolate is made in hot water.

Good fawn coloured head, dark dark ruby body, some tight carpet spots as lacings. Milky chocolate, sweet roasted malts in aroma, quite mild. Tastes chocolate, cocoa, mocca bean, dark bread. Just slightly diluted on palate. Short finish, some fruity grassy stuff there. [50cl can, abv3.5%, BB30042015, B@Ica Kvantum Kiruna, T11/11@RuneSession]

500ml can. Good looking with a deep rosewood coloured body and tan coloured head. Sweet chocolate nose. Grainy chocolate to the taste buds, slightly roasted. Thin to medium on the swallow. Far from great but quite possible to drink (kindly shared by djoeye, Tromsø 11.11.2014).

Leicht kaffeeartiger Antrunk, dünn, wenig malzig. Das Bier nimmt an Intensität noch ab, etwas getreidig, nun eher unpassend. Zu dünn im gut zu sein, auch wenn das Ende harmonischer ist. 14/7/9/9/7/9

Bought in sweden. Tastes like a weak guinness without the sourness guinness has. More chocolate-y and coffee-like notes. Dry finish with a thin body. The swedish rules about beer in convenience stores really fucks up whatever this beer could’ve been if it had been full strength.

UPDATED: AUG 18, 2014 A high quality beer compared to many other medium-strength beer in grocery stores. On the other hand, it may be because I’m a sucker for Irish stout.

@ Havregatan. Burk (500ml) från Coop Extra Väla (17:-). Rostad malt med små rökiga toner, lite kaffe och choklad, ganska hög sötma, lätt kolsyrad, medelfyllig men mjuk och len i munnen. Ganska hyfsad doft, men väldigt tunn i smaken.

Pours dark brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt and chocolate. Taste is light sweet and light bitter with a dry chocolate finish. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

Can. It pours a reddish dark brown body under a creamy, two-finger dark beige head leaving lacings. Milk chocolate and roasted malts in the aroma, not much else going on. Some coffee in the flavor, else it’s the same milk chocolate and roasted malts. Rather thin on the palate, just like expected. Soft carbonation, and a rather short finish. Well, considering the ABV, I’m not gonna complain, but I can’t imagine I’ll have this one again. 140315

50cl can from a Supermarket in Sweden. Pours very dark, close to black, with a beige nitro head. Moderate aroma of roasted malt with mild licorice and hints of chocolate and hops. Moderate sweet with fairly mild roasty flavours and a light, but pleasantly bitter finish. A bit thin and watery, but quite drinkable.
