llcooldave (193), San Antonio, Texas, USA Feb 16, 2008 Pours black with a reddish hue. Aroma is quite interesting, almost like cinnamon bread. Very creamy on the palate, coupled with the roasted coffee and dark chocolate notes, makes me think I’m drinking coffee cake. But not that sweet. Personally I think it has more character & flavor than Guiness. Not a bad brew! gnoff (2923), Göteborg, Sweden Nov 9, 2006 (50 cl can, purchased at one of the COOP supermarket stores) Dark red color, tan creamy head. Light roasted and some chocolate scent. A bit thin body. Roasted taste and aftertaste. Medium bitterness. Nice and drinkable. I find it to be one of the better 3.5% beers around, lacks some hops though. According to the can it seems to be brewed by Spendrups!? almankin (10), Crowley, Texas, USA Feb 28, 2006 The first time I had this beer I was in London. It was on tap in the hotel I was in. I think the best comparison is to Guinness. This beer has a weaker palate but still tastes good. KnutAlbert (2484), Oslo, Norway Apr 22, 2008 Canned.
The weird nitro widget does its tricks, making a good looking beer.
Dark ruby, firm head.
A little smokiness - a pleasant surprise. It is thin, yes, but there is a fine mouth feel and a hint of decent flavour.
Coffee, smoke and grain. larsniclas (3079), Gothenburg, Sweden Jun 6, 2006 [Nitro-can]
Black with a thick, firm and beige head.
Salty and burnt in both aroma and flavour.
Smooth and soft palate.
Some vegetablenotes and too thin.
