COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Murray’s Angry Man Pale Ale is a classic US pale ale. Australian, English and German malts balance the huge citrus/pine hop aroma and flavour strongly influenced by generous use of US Centennial and New Zealand Motueka and Pacifica hops. A brilliant light-golden colour, Murray’s Angry Man Pale Ale has a full-bodied finish and complex character. This is well balanced with biscuity/toffee flavours from selected caramalts.

Touch of sweetness, toffee or something light that. Not as sweet as a Belgian but nice nonetheless. Fairly light in appearance compared to a few other pale ales I was drinking at the same time but just a strong in terms of bitterness and hops.

Tap at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear mediun amber with a frothy broken white head. The aroma is malt yeat light metallic hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a resin woody citrus hop palate. Moderate to light bodied with average carbonation.

Pours golden color with a minimal head. Faint citrusy aroma. malt body is rather thin with a rather long lasting, bitter finish. Had better pale ales.

Bottle. Floral-citrus, pungent aroma. Well-balanced in terms of bitterness and finish. So damn good. Easily up there with the best pale ales in Australia.

330ml bottle. Poured a clear, effervescent golden amber with a tall, frothy, lacing and mostly lasting white head. Bold and spicy citrus-styled hops with a vibrant tropical edge on the nose. Flavours of tangerine and mango with biscuity pale malts, nutty yeast, earth and then a lemon rind, marmalade bitterness to close. A slightly perfumed then toasty aftertaste. Medium-ish body, firm and dry mouthfeel, medium carbonation and finishing with a protracted pithy zest in the finish. Nice enough as a pale ale being fresh and crisp but I was particularly enamoured of the yeasty peculiarities in evidence.

Bottle. Aroma is heavily citrus, bready malt, bit of ester. Tastes of bitter hop, some sweet malt/banana and tiny bit of spice/pepper. Frothy body. Quite flavourful for a pale ale.
