COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Murray’s Angry Man Pale Ale, is our idea of beer heaven. A hybrid of an American Pale Ale, combined with the classic English Pale Ale, the beer is a brilliant light-golden colour. Murray’s Angry Man Pale Ale has a full-bodied finish and complex character. The beer’s fresh citrusy/spicy aroma and flavour is strongly influenced by generous use of New Zealand-grown Motueka and Pacifica hops. This is well balanced with biscuity/toffee flavours from selected caramalts.

330ml bottle. Hazy orange amber colour, creamy foam off-white head leaving alittle lacing and aroma of malt caramel, mango & orange citrus. Taste is malty caramel, melon, earthy, grassy, grapefruit hop bitterness. Smooth mouth feel, light bodied, medium carbonation, dry crisp finish. Quite drinkable APA.

Bought from the brewery in a 1.89L growler and consumed at home. Pours a clear amber colour with a white head. Strong citrus aroma and very pleasant hop taste with a hint of citrus.

UPDATED: JAN 24, 2014 Bottle. Pale amber with a white head that settles to a coat. Aroma of nectarines, marmalade, lychees. Slightly window-cleanerish. Richer caramel than the old Nirvana, similar tropical and stone fruits, a little more bitterness. Like it a little less than Nirvana when it was in good nick, but does what it says on the tin. [3.5]

Sometimes does what it says on the tin. A few murky bottles, the odd hint of cooked vegies and soap. Averaging score.

Bottle from Dan Murphys (didn’t check the best before until I got home and it had gone past by about a month - guess I deserve that for going to Dan Murphys). Lovely clear amber pour with a large, fluffy white head on top. Aroma is light citrus and biscuit malts, all quite subdued. Light floral hops mingle with citrus hoppage. Slight nutty tone behind it all and backed by a sweet biscuity malt. Palate is cut short by a little over carbonation and fizz. Not bad but not like the reviews had promised. Will have to re-rate once I get my hands ona fresh bottle

Bottle shared from Deanso. Pouts clear golden with a white head. Aroma of citric hops and grain. Flavour is biscuit, malt, toffee, light citrus and a little tropical fruit from the motueka. Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation.

Pours amber with a large head. Nose shows grapefruit, soft peach and passion fruit alongwith very faint clean malt. Some fruit hops as flavours too, along with some honey. Carbonation could be a bit higher. Pretty easy-drinking stuff.

Bottle. Wasn’t sure if a hybrid pale ale would be any good, but they managed to pull this one off. Lively but not over done aromas of hops and citrus. Quite sweet palate of caramel, malt and fruit. Went down well with my burger.

Looks a bit like muddy water. Great hoppy smell. Nice caramel taste. Medium bitterness. Leaves my teeth feeling a little slimey. Not a bad beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a light copper colour with a small white head that lays a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma of american hops; passion fruit, grapes and some grass. Flavour is really piney at first, then some light caramel and some light citric tones. Quite a lot of peach also. Some sourness in there aswell, but not that much. Quite bitter aftertaste. Medium body with a sticky carbonation anf a really dry palate. A good beer indeed.
