Cloudy brownish color; generous head. Very nice aroma of malt and hops, a bit cheesy, sharp, phenolic, but interesting. Strong body, with a good full malt flavor and caramel, some vanilla oak, and a strong hopping too. Very good American styled Barley Wine, powerful.

UPDATED: OCT 19, 2011 Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours a dark orange-amber with a very big white, frothy head. Very good lacing and retention. Aromas give off heavy caramel malts, dried & dark fruits, oak, and hops. Flavour is heavy sweet. Lots of sweet dried fruits and roasted caramel malts. Very good beer despite the oxidation as we opened it

Bottle @ Papsø. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Has a sweetish malty hoppy aroma with hints of dark fruit. Sweetish malty hoppy bitter spicy dark fruit flavor. Has a sweetish malty hoppy dark fruit finish.

Dark amber with a lasting pillowy head. Aromas of passionfruit, sweet stone fruit, citrus and pine. Flavours of caramel malt with a slight roast character, sweet dried fruit, hops and a little oak. Full body, soft carbonation and bitter hop finish. Great beer. First release [#4] i have tried, one for now and two for later.

Clear medium to dark orange amber orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, licorice, alcohol - bourbon alike, oak, dried fruit, light roasted, moderate hoppy, orange - citrus. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, light alcohol - bourbon alike. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20101024]

Bottled. A hazy chestnut-brown beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of hops, caramel, and malt. The flavor is very sweet with notes of prunes, malt, over ripe fruits, and some hops, leading to a bitter finish, where the over ripe fruits lingers.
