BB 28/June/2014. Poured an opaque black with a dark cherry red tint on the edges and a three-finger light tan foamy head that retained well and diminished slowly. Laced OK. Aroma subtly of sweet caramelised malt. Taste of roasted grain and quite sweet malts with no real bitterness and quite balanced with no one flavour dominating. Light to medium body. Palate smooth with roasted malts coming through plus sweetness and also an unusual tangy bitterness to the finish.

My go to drinking porter, so smooth. Such an easy drink this one, not too complex or sweet, well balanced.

Pours a dark brown with a finger of silky tan head.
Nose is coffee, caramel and dark fruit.
Taste is lots and lots of coffee, sweet caramel, dark chocolate. Finish is slightly bitter with some coffee notes.
Mouthfeel is pretty smooth with a medium body.
Definitely tasty, but the flavour profile is fairly standard.

Dark brown, thin head. Roasty, chocolatey aroma. Similar palate, moderate bitterness and complexity but these are good balanced flavours, so this is a very enjoyable pint.

330 ml bottle. Pours a dark brown with some lighter highlights at the edges and a thin collar of cream coloured head. Scents of milk chocolate, roasted malt and a light coffee. Taste is much the same though with some dried fruit notes also coming through. Not intense flavours but nicely balanced. Light bodied for a porter. Quite refined, but could use a bit more punch.
