Iím impressed, so smooth for a beer of this strength. A very interesting beer from a great brewer.

Not the greatest beer from Murrayís, just too much booze! Good flavours initially though.

On tap @ the alehouse project. Pours a dark brown with ruby highlights and a smallish, dissipating head that left a little lacing. Lots of bold flavours in this one. Typical Quad flavours of plums, raisins, dates and then a little apricot. Finishes with drying hops that add another dimension to the beer. Really nice.

Vanilla, butterscotch tasty as s%&t this is the type of beer i could take home and make sweet sweet love to all night except it would taint all the delicious flavors this beer has to offer. one of my new all time favorite beers

Tap at the Park Hotel. Lovely clear brown with a beige head. Far too cold even though I avoided the frosty glass. Much more enjoyable after it sat for 20 minutes. Aroma of light dough, stewed and dried fruit - prunes, raisins - brown sugar, mace. Full bodied but not at all syrupy. Really quite hot and very boozy. Sweet, faintly rummy. Explosive fruity flavours. Dries out a fair bit at the end. Punchy spices - aniseed, pepper, nutmeg. Lots going for it but the alcohol is way too prominent for me. I suppose this was always going to be a bumpy ride.
