Commercial Description:
Nirvana Pale Ale is a hybrid of an American Pale Ale combined with the classic English Pale Ale style to produce a New World Pale Ale. A brilliant golden colour, our pale ale has a fresh citrusy/spicey aroma and flavour, balanced with biscuity/toffee flavours from the malt and finishes full bodied with a complex character and bitterness of selected caramalts are used as well as generous quantities of New Zealand grown Cascade and Hallertau hops.

RE-RATE. Bottle (330ml). Poured hazy golden orange with an averaged sized, rocky, white head which lasted well. A zesty hop aroma with grassy notes, orange citrus, grapefruit and biscuity malts. Flavor was a citrus hop bitterness (mild) with dry biscuity malts, caramel, passionfruit and some grapefruit. Medium bodied with medium carbonation a dry/creamy mouthfeel and a good finish. Well balanced, just need more kick.

Excellent beer from a great little brewery in Australia that seems to get so many beers right. Served bottle, poured deep orange with large white head that clung to the sides all the way down. Aromas were of biscuit malts and delicious fruity hops. Medium bitterness over the palate, followed by a big bitter finish which inclines me to think this really is an American IPA, not APA as described on the bottle. Great beer, very enjoyable.

This is a well-made brew, but something is missing. It has a big hoppy bitterness, probably more so than I expected, but its orange colour and American-style hop flavours just don’t agree with what the label says: Pale Ale is a bitter, not an APA. This beer is definitely a type of APA or American IPA, despite what the kangaroo and emu on the label suggest.

Bottle -- Cloudy deep orange with a large, fluffy white head with good retention and lacing. Delicious fruity hop aroma. Equally delicious flavour, with a citrussy sourness at the end. There’s something more IPA than APA about it. A beautiful beer that I’ll certainly be buying more of.

Bottle. Clear golden with no head. Lovely aroma: initially floral hops with a lot more complexity developing as beer warmed - malty / biscuity, maybe even hints of chocolate with some slightly spicy hints. Medium body and carbonation. Flavour is primarily a pleasant floral hoppiness with a reasonable amount of complexity including some malty sweetness and a toffee / bisucuity taste with hints of orange. Pleasant somewhat bitter finish. Overall a very drinkable beer.
