3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 motelpogo (5530) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - MAR 21, 2012
bottled, at the old sando in newtown. much paler than a czech pils and surprisingly bright with a quickly disappearing head; aroma of self-raising flour and white grape with only the faintest hint of saaz; some tropical flavours - pineapple and lychee; with a soft grassy bitter finish; a pretty loose interpretation of a pilsener but pleasant drinking nonetheless
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 downender (5187) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - APR 22, 2012
On tap at the Murrays pub, Manly March 2012. Golden with a slight whit head and moderate fizz. Aroma of hay, tropical fruits and a touch of sweet malt. Flavour had more fruit, a touch of jarring butter, leading to a decent bitter finish. Overall, good.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 bluevegie (3004) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - SEP 11, 2008
Clear golden body with mainly lasting head. Lovely hop aroma which is still there in the taste but balanced well with the malt, yes this is a good pilsner and Murrays are building a good reputation for crafting beers.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 TimE (2586) - Tokyo, JAPAN - MAR 8, 2013
very floral sweet biscuity malts with moderately aggressive hops. Excellent bitter finish.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 TheGrandMaster (2335) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - FEB 1, 2009
Bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a white head. Light lemon on the nose. A cleansing palate with citrus orange and toffee malt flavours. Yeasty like the other Murrays brews (which is a little unusual in a pilsner). All up, a good pilsner.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 jonno (2001) - JAPAN - AUG 6, 2010
I’m a bit iffy on the condition of this, as there wasn’t too much in the hop presence, but lots of honey and biscuit malts. Full bodied. Nice lacing. Good easy drinking but not too pilsnerish.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 hawthorne00 (1856) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JUN 27, 2011
Tap. Gold with a medium white head. Delicate floral aroma with a some bready grain, a little pepper and lemon. Slightly creamy mouthfeel. Light grainy malt is moderately sweet with a little lager sourness. Modest bitterness. Neither particularly bold or crisp, but OK.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 davidm (1774) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - NOV 13, 2009
Bottle. Very good pilsner. Aroma of banana, and also caramel. Flavour is long-lasting, and it has nice bitterness. Medium body, and oily in the palate. Yellow, cloudy and bubbly, with a fizzy white head that disappears.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Stew41 (1572) - Woodend, AUSTRALIA - JUN 5, 2008
Super active head with stacks of rocky froth. Settles down very quickly. Colour is bang on - light amber. I’ll have to second (third?) the other comments re the Kiwi vibe; lots of very green hops and passionfruit, both in equal parts on the nose and palate. Nose shows excellent herbal characters as well, and not miles away from the NPA in this regard. Back palate gets quite firm and tight, and finishes with bitter hops.Might be shooting my mouth off here but this might be Australia’s best pilsner?
