3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught fresh from the keg. Labeled as íDark Knightí. I guess this is the same beer the Mad Quacker has rated below. The little brother of the Best Extra Porter, this more subtle porter is good in itís own right. Aroma and flavour of chocolate malt and caramel. Soft carbonation and finishes dry and bitter. Nice beer.

Assuming this is the same thing as the "Dark Knight" a good solid black beer. Quite mellow and easy to drink.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A typically well-made brown porter from one of Australiaís best brewers. Iíve yet to taste a dud from these guys - and thatís pretty rare from a new(ish) brewer. This one was Cola black with another great, lasting head. Sweet malty aroma of dark chocolate and coffee beans. Bit fizzy but acceptable for the style. Very sweet and clean-flavoured. Chocolate, some dryness in the finish. A beer that doesnít ask much of the drinker but does its job well. (Draught at the Australian Hotel beerfest 2007)

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the Pub With No Beer. Pours a dark brown with a white head. This lovely has a big chocolate flavor. The smoke aroma is slight, but definitely present. I donít get any smoke flavor out of this, though. This is a very thick bodied beer and the chocolate rich palate is very impressive. Delicious beer from incredibly friendly people.
