COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
""""Inspired by the great stouts favoured by Russian Imperial Court, Murray’s “Wild Thing” Imperial Stout is a beer fit for a Czar. A massive, intense drinking experience. The colour is black. Totally black. The heart of darkness. Impossible to see through even when held up to the light – nothing insipid about this beer. Aromas of strong dark chocolate, a little fruitiness from the hops and yeast and some rumminess from the alcohol. The flavour is an intense hit of mocha – bitter dark chocolate bordering on coffee. Some malt sweetness but an aggressive hop bitterness and roast grain bite to balance. And then there’s the mouthfeel… Full bodied is an understatement. Massive mouthfillling malt that almost overwhelms, before the freight train of the bitterness from the hops and the roast acidity kicks in to clean up the palate. A tiny batch of a huge beer – only 1100 bottles brewed. A beer to savour if you dare!""""

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and soy sauce. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, soy sauce, and wood, leading to a lightly astringent, dry, woody, and alcoholic finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of bluebetty. Pours pitch black with a light brown head. Hard roast malt aroma almost tarry. Very solid body, pours almost thick and syrupy, tarry and lightly roasty with a ton of hard roast malt. Some malt bitterness. This is heavy duty shit, a real impressive "classic" and untreated Imperial Stout. 150311

Brought all the way from the land of the Aussie by ndon. Thanks a lot Nick. Pours black as hell with a thin tan head. Decent intense impy stout aroma, lots of roasted malts thick creamy malts on aroma. It’s intense in the mouth. really lovely intense choc. Dark Belgian choc. Dry finish. hides the alcohol well. Is this the best Australian beer I’ve ever had? Well possibly. Fresh Little Creatures in Freo takes some beating. It’s a big beer but there is a reasonably amount of drinkability. Just a touch of newspaper on the swallow. Bit too roasty dryness on the finish? bit of fish oil in there somewhere too. Still it’s a pretty good beer. Cheers NIck.
