Commercial Description:
La Dame Blanche, 375ml, 15.5% alcool "La Dame Blanche" takes it's name from a legend from the Côte-de-Beaupré.During the warm spring days of 1759, a beautiful girl from Beauport fell in love with a dreamyeyed soldier. In love with each other, they had to seperate as the soldier was called off to war.The fiancé was reported missing in action on july 31 at the foot of the Montmorency Falls. The young girl no longer wanted to live. Desperate, one night during a full moon, she dressed up in her white dress and threw herself into the waters of the Montmorency rivers. Her body was never found... One night where there's a full moon, one can still see the girl dresses in white floating above the waters of Montmorency Falls, have you seen her?"La Dame Blanche" mead is made of blueberry honey from Lac-Saint-Jean, which is aged for two years on oak barrels. Serve fresh with cheeses or desserts.

Medium gold in colour with no carbonation. Aromas of light honey and apricot. The flavors are lightly sweet, with some notes of alfalfa and a mild nutty quality. Light bodied to the point of being a little on the watery side. A middle of the road mead.

Potent honey sweetness titillates the nostrils, along with its fruity, bubblegummy candied friends...Flavor somewhat disappoints though, not being as rich as the aroma had pronounced...Aftertaste is dry and slightly alcoholic, but the alcohol remains well-hidden for this size...A competent, classy mead which fails its dessert-y objectives, imho...
