Tasted 2008-04-24. Pours semi clear amber with creamy, beige head. Aroma: Thick maltiness, powerful hops, sweet toffee. Flavour: Sweet, bitter. Medium to full body. Very tasty!

Brwon with small head. Aroma of toffee and red berries. Flavor is dry with nuts, caramel, dried fruit and a high bitterness. Hops spices and alcohol

Oct 13, 2008 0.5 l bottle. Hazy reddish brown color. Sweetish, nutty, candyish, berryish (gooseberry), bready, perfumed yeasty, almondy and tart fruity aroma. Sweetish, berryish, nutty, yeasty and very warming flavor with almonds, candy and toffee. Dessert wine like with some notes of raisins and plums. Yeasty notes and sweetness is somewhat detracting.

This bottle leaked during the trip from Copenhagen to Pori. Ruby color, not much head, just some foam. Aroma has fudge and ripe banana & plums. Mouthfeel is a bit thin and flat (leaking?). Toffee, plums, woody notes in the flavor. A bit bitter aftertaste. Simple and average but reasonably drinkable barley wine.

Aug 30, 2008 Bottle 50cl. Ruby red/brown and slightly hazy body with a small fast disappearing head. Lots of alcohol and malt in the nose. Fat full body dominated by alcohol malt and other sweet stuff. Long varm aftertaste dominated by alcohol. A bit too strong for me.

Aug 29, 2008 Bottle. Hazy amber colour with a creamy off white head. Rich aroma and taste of nuts, malts with notes of port. Good beer.
