3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A pitch black beer with a brown head. The aroma is sweet with strong roasted aromas, which lends it a bit of acidity, but also lighter notes of coffee and prunes. The flavor is sweet and very dry from the roasted malt, besides the strong roasted malt note, there’s notes of chocolate, and light notes of coffee. The end is dry and bitter. For the style I find it boring.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
(Bottle 50 cl) Pours an opaque almost black with a small, beige head. Aroma of hard roasted malt and an almost vinous touch - some dried fruits. Quite full and solid body with lots of roasted malt - perhaps also some touches of chocolate - bitter chocolate. Dry and alcoholic finish, but fortunately not overly burned. Pleasant and very well balanced. 081006

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Brown color, very dark; brownish head, initially big but it disappears quickly. Aroma of yeast, of pizza dough; then some light roasted malt. The body structure is medium, with a bit too much carbonation; the flavor is dominated by the roasted malt, followed by the liquorice and supported by some malt (and it’s sugars). The final has a fair amount of roasted malt and liquorice, but it’s also a quite harsh; there is some hidden hop. Rough example, maybe better in 6 months.
