Ungstrup (11031), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 5, 2005 [At Københavnske Øldage 2005] A hazy yellow beer with a disappearing white head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of peach, but also hints of alcohol, and so is the flavor, while the end is dry. For at Triple this is not spicy and complex enough. Papsoe (9980), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 23, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Newest addition to the Da Capo-range of beers. Pale golden, slightly hazy with a rather small head. Wonderful fruity esters of banana and...melon? - more usually found in German wheat beers. Pronounced sweetness and a very evident alcohol, but well balanced with the hops. A very fresh, harmonic and nice Tripel. joergen (6240), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 23, 2005 Bottled at DBF 2005.
Clear amber coloures with a small white head.
Acidic fruity aroma with notes of anise.
Fruity flavour with acidic and hoppy notes.
Interesting.
To my knowledge the first danish triple.
yespr (6162), Copenhagen O, Denmark Oct 16, 2007 50 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow to light orange with a lot of sediments floating around. Has a dense white head. Coriander, timian and yeasty spiced aroma. Yeasty flavour and mouthfeel, somewhat soapy. Has a very spiced flavour profile, slight muddy and with no clear direction. Ends in a caramel malty and slight citric note. Not bad but not thrilling either. sk8viking (6078), Copenhagen, Denmark May 29, 2005 Bottle. Hazy yellow colour with a white head. Spicy yeasty aroma and a sweet pepper light alcoholic taste. Medium body and a sweet light alcoholic finish.
