Like the region it’s from, our all-malt Muskoka Craft Lager is a getaway from the average. That’s because it’s carefully aged and handcrafted to be uniquely flavourful, yet remarkably easy-drinking. Made from North American hops and malt, and winner of Canadian Lager of the Year, this delicately balanced thirst quencher is the refreshing departure you’ve been waiting for

Pretty decent lager with a semi-full body. Not much in the way of depth other than the malts and on the slightly sweet side, but quite smooth, almost creamy. Will buy again.

Clear orange yellow, small foamy white head fades. Sweet malty grainy aroma. Crisp clean lager malt taste, some fint hop grassiness and a hint of citrus. Average carbonation, light bodied, lightly hopped. Refreshing and easy to drink. Decent lager. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)

Pours a golden yellow with small carbonation, no head. Subdued corn, toasty malts, grassy hops and aluminum nose. Flavor is lightly sweet and bitter. light body with a slick texture and soft carbonation and a nice lasting finish.

473ml can. Gold pour, small white head with modest lacing. Aroma has grains, grass and straw notes. Taste is pretty grainy, some sweetness in the middle, faint hop note. Grainy aftertaste, light body, lots of carbonation. To my surprise this was pretty tasty for a pale lager,

Golden yellow with a pale, quickly fading head. Sweet malty, floral and light citrus on the nose. Mouthfeel is slightly watery with average carbonation. Taste is pretty much the same as the nose, with a little fruitiness. not much hops in front, but a (very) little citrusy hops on the finish.

473ml can pours a bright golden color with a 2 finger bubbly white head that settles down to leave only small trace of lace on the glass. Aroma is cereal grains and grass. Taste is grainy malt sweetness with a grassy hop bitterness in the finish. A little disappointing compared to the other brews from Muskoka. Only slightly better than a typical macro lager.

Aug 1 2012. 345ml bottle pours clear pale straw yellow with an inch bubbly white head. Head fades to cap and leaves some lacing for half the beer. Aroma is of sweet lemon grass and subtle cereal and grain malts. No hops on nose. Taste is WAY more subtle than smell. Same elements but hard to distinguish or notice at all; is that why they call it "delicate?" After second bottle I can say its definitely easy drinking and palate is very crisp and dry with good carbonation, but no hops bite even after 2. Too forgettable to be Canada’s best lager (who says so anyway?). Won’t pay craft price for macro knock-off again.

Single can purchased from an LCBO in Ottawa, Ontario on 06/06/2012. Colour: Medium-light yellow with no head. Nose: Malt dominant. A trace of flowery perfume flutters around - and some soap. Taste: Light sweet, medium-light bitter, light sour. Standard lager, with some vanilla notes among the overwhelming malt. Corn as well. Serviceable.
