Like the region it’s from, our all-malt Muskoka Craft Lager is a getaway from the average. That’s because it’s carefully aged and handcrafted to be uniquely flavourful, yet remarkably easy-drinking. Made from North American hops and malt, and winner of Canadian Lager of the Year, this delicately balanced thirst quencher is the refreshing departure you’ve been waiting for

Canette 473ml.

UPDATED: MAY 26, 2012 Pretty average lager. Nothing too interesting, but worth consuming I suppose.

500mL can from LCBO taster pack. Nothing exciting. Aroma is borderline gross, very tinny and heavy on the corn, bland malt. Pale yellow pour, bubbly white foam. No highlights, just another lager in a sea of mediocrity.

Pale golden pour. The aroma is lightly sweet and grainy. A hint of odd sweetness as it warms up. Some definite DMS. In spite of the flaws, it still seems drinkable enough.

[3510-20101205] 473mL can. Grainy light fruity notes in the aroma. Clear, yellow orange body with a quick foamy white head. Light bitter grainy yeast flavour has a light sweet aftertaste. Medium body. Drinkable but not great.

Can [473ml]. Pours a clear bubbly gold with an average size lasting fizzy white head. Aroma of cereal grain, some vegetal notes, sugar and light grassy hops. Flavour of grain, some corn, light grassy hops and sweet malt. Starts watery with most of the flavour in the light bitter finish. Average bodied. Just O.K., a decent Lager. *Addendum: I find this a bit too sweet for the style.

Canned sample. Pale gold in colour with strong carbonation. Aromas are of pilsner malt, faint herbal hops, and a touch of canned vegetables. Favors are heavy on pilsner malt, along with some smooth corn grits, and dry black peppery hops. A bit odd on the palate with a bit of corn-like creaminess, followed up by some sharp leafy bitterness on the finish. Seems a bit disjoint overall, but could be worse.

473 ml can from LCBO. Pours a clear deep gold with modest-sized white head. Aroma of grainy malt and light grassy hops. Taste is grainy, but more balanced. Lightish bitterness in finish. Ok, nothing more.
