COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like the region it’s from, our all-malt Muskoka Craft Lager is a getaway from the average. That’s because it’s carefully aged and handcrafted to be uniquely flavourful, yet remarkably easy-drinking. Made from North American hops and malt, and winner of Canadian Lager of the Year, this delicately balanced thirst quencher is the refreshing departure you’ve been waiting for

Olive aroma? Golden, slight head. Little flavour, almost sour. Unpleasant bite. Very poor, hopefully it was off.

Bottle, courtesy of matt7215 (thanks!). Looks ok - medium yellow, small but thick white head, lots of streaming bubbles. Grainy aroma, maybe some light fruity notes (hops?). Taste - standard stuff but clean: grainy, a weird sort of fruity finish (not really hops though). Medium body for the style. Decent enough, might enjoy it in the summer or something after some work outside, but not really enough else here to come back otherwise.

Nice golden colour. Fresh, grassy aroma with a hint of hops. Crisp mouthfeel with bready malt flavour and more hoppiness in the finish than I expect from an Ontario lager. A pleasant surprise.

Canette 473ml.

473ml can. Gold pour, small white head with modest lacing. Aroma has grains, grass and straw notes. Taste is pretty grainy, some sweetness in the middle, faint hop note. Grainy aftertaste, light body, lots of carbonation. To my surprise this was pretty tasty for a pale lager,

473 ml can from LCBO. Pours a clear deep gold with modest-sized white head. Aroma of grainy malt and light grassy hops. Taste is grainy, but more balanced. Lightish bitterness in finish. Ok, nothing more.

12.26.04 341ml bottle thanks to Secret Santa. A surprise in the mix, for sure. This beer is pale and golden like the beer in commercials, little visible eff. Aroma is pleasantly grainy, light, herbal. Flavor is quite bland but with a clean grassy-dry finish; somewhat salty. In a local pub, you could do worse. Cheers, Santa!

Pours a clear slightly dark golden yellow with a small quickly disappearing white top. Aroma is mostly light malt and a hint of hop. Taste is mostly a solid bready malt profile with a slight hop. Well done lager.

Originally rated June 2006. This one pours a golden colour with a fizzy white head that dissipates quickly, leaving close to no lace. The carbonation is quite heavy and the nose is of cereal malt. Written 4.8% ABV on the front label. Watery and slick mouthfeel. Smooth, with hardly any bitterness. Mild-sweet malt with touches of grass in the finish and light apples in the aftertaste. A thin layer covers the brew the whole way. A bit overpriced, not the best premium lager, but nothing offensive, so would drink again if given by someone.
